Comments: I went up there today and while there were a couple of people riding, the winds were pretty brutal. When I got up there, you could see 15 or so tracks down the professor, but by 1pm, they were all gone. I headed over to the north side of the pass around 2pm and there was some descent windblown in the trees.
I couldn't believe how barren some of the stuff up there was. |

Comments: Depends what kind of skiing you are talking about. There is sublime XC on the Carriage Roads. The Friends of Acadia groom quite a lot of it.
There is also steeper fun to be had on Sargent Mountain, Cadillac Mountain and elsewhere. When there is snow, Acadia is a terrific place to ski. |

Comments: We had great conditions on 12-3-11. 2 to 3 ft of powder mostly through out. The trees were generally deeper. Hidden valley still needs s bit more for base snow. We scraped a few rocks here and there. Over all, much better snow than I expected for this time of year |
