Approach

The Skin track is pretty easy, you want to head out of the parking lot at the top of the pass, due East up the service road. After about 1000', the service road will bear to the left, and you will continue SE on the skin track through the trees. This is a shared bootpack with the skintrack, and as it goes above treeline, the snow is often wind hammered.

Equipment Needs

Avy Gear is highly recommended on this route

Descent

Floral is a tree run, consisting mostly of pine and spruce trees. The route averages about 40 degrees, and is often prone to sliding in the more open sections. The further South you go, the steeper it gets.
