The approach for Pauly's is just a bit further than going to floral park fairway. It is about .5 miles from the parking lot, and there is very little uphill from there. Take the service road/skin track due East from the parking lot at the top of the pass, and continue South as the road turns North. Follow the skin track/boot back up the hill and after it gets to tree line, continue down

Equipment Needs

Avy Gear is Highly recommended for this route. Experience in rock gullies is essential.

The route starts out on a windscoured face that is a NW aspect, but is often wind loaded and unsafe. the top of the decent is a cliff band, with a windloaded gully. there are two entrances to the gully, which is about 300' long. The mouth of the gully opens up into floral park fairway, which is a steep treed run.
