The Black Diamond Crescent is a women's-specific version of the Aspect and is appropriate for nearly any day in the backcountry. The Crescent features a 90 mm waist and a semi-Rocker tip for lightweight trailbreaking and corn, crud semi-deep powder skiing. The paulownia wood core and carbon fiber reinforcements lend the ski maximum torsional stiffness for edge hold.
The Black Diamond Starlet is a soft-flexing, powder skiing favorite for many backcountry gals. It is improved, this season, with a semi-rocker tail, so the skis still enter turns with incredible ease, but now they exit turns easily too.
The Central Gully is a very open gladed run, with amazing turns on a 30ish degree slope. Very lap-able and with great views, plus this is what you look at the entire time you're skinning from the saddle.
