These are a fantastic ski, super fun to ski on. I picked up a pair of the 181's and mounted up them with tele bindings. They are really quick edge to edge, and a lot of fun in the bumps. they manage to handle soft snow and variable snow really well. They are not a rockered ski, but they still handle a variety of conditions superbly.

One of my favorite skis that I have skied this year.

Have you tried the keepers? How would you compare them to Rossignol S3's?

they are bigger than the S3 for sure, a lot heavier, but a very fun ski. They are more comparable to the S7 I would think.

I agree with BH - the Keeper really would compare to skis like Rossi S7 / Armada JJ / BD Amperage / Ski Logic Rockstar etc - these skis are all in the newer category of super versatile powder skis that tend to excel in much more than powder due to some of rocker and overall sidecut shaping.

S3 would compare to Armada TST, but is "easier skiing" from what I remember. TST has similar dimensions, more of a charger than S3, super quick turning. S3 is very versatile and probably a bit more accessible for a early intermediate and very capable all around the mountain - maybe just not as much of a "charger"

Has anyone out there used the regular Nomads in an AT setup? How do they hold up in steep potentially icy terrain? I know the sft model is a favorite among our free heeled friends, I'm just curious if the standard Nomads are as well appreciated from the AT crowd.
