THESE SKIS ARE FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!!!! You don't even notice the crust, and you don't even realize when you are on crunchy snow. Not to mention that they are super super fun in really deep snow! The rocker is amazing, and they are so light yet really stiff.

The only downsides are when they collect snow (they need a good waxing first...) and the price. They are spendy, but they are worth it.

Retail: $1200
Lengths: 178, 190
Dimensions: 140/120/125mm
Rating: 5 stars (out of 5)

Where the days are long and the nights are longer.

TeleJRI, you will like them. if you don't you can always give them to me! They are honestly one of the most versatile skis I have been on, and are perfect for long days where you are skinning, but you also want to be able to ski like a rock star. I have had a couple of days on them when the 200cm seems really long (like when they are covered in heavy wet snow) but for the most part, they ski a lot shorter and are super nimble. I can't wait to get out on mine again this year!

Is DPS releasing any new skis this year? Does anyone know whats next from these guys, in terms of new technologies or adaptations of the carbon core ski?

Have you heard of the spoon? It looks bananas and maybe death and glory all wrapped into one

Check out this video of Stephen Drake on the Spoon. Pretty intense, no doubt it'll take a pretty solid skier with tons of core strength and stabilizer muscles to keep that thing under control

I'm really hoping that the Lotus 120's are as good as everyone is saying. I skied them once last year but it was a great snow day. And pretty much any ski feels good in powder.

Don't leave us in suspense TeleJRI, did you get your Lotus 120s? Have you been out on them? I demoed at pair on a 16" day of fresh Colorado bliss, and they are the real deal. They float better than anything I have skied in fresh powder, but still eat up the afternoon crud. One of the best skis for Colorado conditions.
