Details

Silverton Area has some of the most consistent snow in Colorado. They get it early, and they get it late. Storms love to hit the Silverton/Red Mountain Pass Area. The resort itself is almost a backcountry experience, as they recommend going guided. They also have helicopter access, and unguided days at the resort...........

How To Get There

Western Slope. It is a long drive from the denver area, but once you are in the area, there is relatively easy access to the larger peaks.

Camping

There is some camping down there, but winter time will not be kind. your tent will be buried until july!
